Susan Weaver

IMPERFECT poet Susan Weaver shares a mini mistake maker poem from real life. In it, Susan recalls a night when her brother found dozens of praying mantis nymphs on his bedroom floor:

Uh-Oh!
a tanka

from a boy's pocket
to bureau drawer
an unfamiliar egg case
forgotten. . .
until it hatches

  1. Oh yes! I know it well!!! It was in my Year 2 tidy tray... then all through my school books, pencils and things... My teachers called it the nursery, and I had to take it downstairs and clean it out. #memories
